About Us
Victoria Hill Lamb is a family owned and run farming business based on the Darling Downs. Underpinned by 130 years of sheep farming experience, Victoria Hill Lamb prides itself on producing full- flavoured, succulent lamb with exceptional customer service.
Our History
The Schmidt family has a rich history that spans continents and generations, rooted in hard work, determination, and a pioneering spirit.
As the great-great-grandson of the first Queensland Schmidts, farming runs in our blood. Our unwavering commitment to the land and livestock mirrors the resilience and pioneering ethos that have characterised our family for years.
What We Offer You
Our lambs are raised on grass for their first 150 days, on family farms throughout western Queensland, then fed a carefully formulated mixture of grains and silage. Finishing our lambs at our feed hub guarantees a more consistent, high-quality product for our customers, which is particularly important when pastures aren’t performing well in dry spells or drought conditions.
Our Commitment to You
We are committed to being leaders in sustainable lamb production by continually looking for better ways to care for our livestock and the land on which they graze. We understand that what's good for our animals is also good eating quality for you. We set meticulous standards in animal welfare to ensure our sheep are treated with the highest levels of care and respect.
